Every dollar raised goes directly to supporting scholars entering college, nursing programs, trade schools, and business ventures — plus the Beyond Breakfast Foundation.

Named After Those Who Built the Foundation
The Jalil Honors Awards are named after the day-one ambassadors of The Unique Scholars Institute — the individuals who believed in the mission from the very beginning, before there was a building, a program, or a team.
These ambassadors invested their time, reputation, and resources to help launch what USI is today. They mentored the first scholars, recruited the first volunteers, and represented the brand when it was just an idea and a commitment.
By naming these awards in their honor, USI ensures that their legacy lives on through every graduating senior who walks across the stage, receives a scholarship, and steps into the next chapter of their life. The Jalil Honors Awards are not just about funding — they are about honoring the people who made it all possible.
Four Pathways, One Mission
The Jalil Honors Awards recognize graduating seniors across four distinct career pathways — because every path forward deserves support and celebration.
College Pathway Award
For graduating seniors accepted into a four-year college or university. This award supports tuition, books, and first-year living expenses for scholars committed to pursuing a bachelor's degree.
Nursing & Healthcare Award
For graduating seniors pursuing nursing, healthcare, or medical-related programs. This award supports clinical training, certification costs, and program tuition for future healthcare professionals.
Trade School Excellence Award
For graduating seniors entering skilled trade programs — including welding, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, automotive, and construction. This award covers tools, certification, and trade school tuition.
Business & Entrepreneurship Award
For graduating seniors pursuing business, entrepreneurship, or professional development pathways. This award supports startup costs, business education, and professional certifications.
The Beyond Breakfast Foundation
A portion of all Jalil Honors fundraising directly supports the Beyond Breakfast Foundation — ensuring that scholars receive ongoing mentorship, character development, and wraparound support even after graduation.

How the Jalil Honors Awards Work
From fundraising to the awards ceremony, here is how the Jalil Honors Awards come together each year.
Fundraising Campaign
Each year, USI launches the Jalil Honors fundraising campaign. Donors, sponsors, community partners, and Brand Scholars rally to raise funds for graduating seniors across all four award categories.
Nomination & Application
Graduating seniors are nominated by mentors, instructors, or partner schools — or they may apply directly. Candidates must demonstrate academic commitment, community involvement, and a clear career pathway.
Review & Selection
A panel of USI leadership, Brand Scholars, and community partners reviews each application. Selection criteria include academic performance, character, community service, and alignment with the USI mission.
Awards Ceremony
Recipients are honored at the annual Jalil Honors Awards ceremony — a celebration of their achievements, named in honor of the day-one ambassadors who built the foundation of USI.
Beyond Breakfast Foundation Support
A portion of all funds raised also supports the Beyond Breakfast Foundation — ensuring ongoing mentorship, character development, and wraparound support for scholars after graduation.
