Standard Contract Provisions

  • No secondary commercial use of student or parent data
  • FERPA school-official posture with direct-control conditions
  • COPPA notice and consent allocation documented
  • Accessibility warranty — WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance
  • Security controls — MFA, encryption, least-privilege access
  • Breach notification within required district timelines
  • Personnel screening and background-check certification
  • Data retention, destruction, and transition-assistance terms
  • Subprocessor disclosure with equivalent privacy obligations

These provisions are sample framework elements. Final contract terms are subject to district legal review and negotiation.
